About Waterville
Waterville is a small town on the south Iveragh peninsula's west coast - on the Ring of Kerry tourist route, with a sandy west-facing beach catching plenty of Atlantic swell. The town has a long history as a holiday destination (Charlie Chaplin had a regular haunt here) and a friendly local surf scene.
The beach works on W to SW swells with E to NE offshore winds. Mid tide is best. Less developed than the busier Iveragh coast tourist spots; the surf is quiet but reliable on the right swell.
