About St. Finian's Bay

St. Finian's Bay sits on the south-western tip of the Iveragh peninsula, near Ballinskelligs - one of the most remote and beautiful surf spots in Kerry. On a clear day you can see the Skellig Islands offshore from the beach.

The bay catches SW swells and works on N offshore winds. It's quieter than the Dingle peninsula spots simply because it's further off the main tourist route. Mid tide is best. A surf school operates in the bay in season; otherwise it's a self- sufficient location.
