About Lackan Bay

Lackan Bay is a sheltered north-west-facing beach on the Mayo side of Killala Bay, opposite Enniscrone. It's quieter than the busier Mayo Atlantic spots and works on a slightly different swell window - more sheltered, less heavy.

The beach catches NW swells with E to SE offshore winds. Mid tide is best. Cars are sometimes allowed onto the beach depending on tide. Very few facilities at the beach itself; bring what you need.
