About Whiterocks

Whiterocks is a north-facing beach a short drive east of Portrush, framed by spectacular white chalk cliffs - the only cliffs of their kind on the island of Ireland. It's one of the most scenic surf spots on the north coast and catches plenty of Atlantic swell wrapping into the bay.

The beach handles all conditions: a beginner-friendly inside section on smaller days, and bigger outside peaks when a NW swell stacks up. Mid tide is the sweet spot. Whiterocks is well-known to the Portrush surf community - the lineup can fill up on a clean swell but there's space along the strand.
