About Bunmahon

Bunmahon is a small south-facing beach on the Copper Coast in west Waterford - a UNESCO Global Geopark stretch of dramatic cliffs and coves between Tramore and Dungarvan. The village itself is quiet but has a strong local surf community.

Bunmahon catches the same S to SE swells as Tramore but in a more concentrated bay with less beach to spread out across. It works on N offshore winds. The beach is more interesting bathymetrically than Tramore's long strand, with peaks shifting around the bay.
